Marketer David Ferreira Joins are pleased to announce the addition of David Ferreira to our family as Co-Founder and CEO.

Why are we excited about David?

David joins the team after having left Expedia earlier this year where he worked in both Sales Operations and Global Customer Operations for Expedia Affiliate Network (EAN). His time with EAN helped him see various operating models for Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) as well as other companies requiring hotel inventory, leading to a solid understanding of the industry and the drivers of success for modern OTAs.

Aside from his relevant experience in Travel Tech, he also brings a wealth of Commercial and Marketing expertise garnered from his career at Diageo, where he held various Global and Regional roles working on Diageo’s luxury spirits portfolio: Diageo Reserve.

At Diageo, David was Global Brand Manager on Zacapa Rum, establishing the brand as the world’s best luxury rum brand. He later became Head of Route to Consumer where he led the implementation of the go to market strategy of the Diageo Reserve Sales and Marketing team in Western Europe, defining execution standards for the commercial team and ensuring that the team was selling the right brands, in the right channels, with the right sales drivers.

Prior to Diageo, David was a consultant, working in both Strategy Consulting as well as Brand and Marketing Strategy. David’s education reflects his love of travel as he did his studies at the Lauder Institute where he obtained an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MA in International Studies.

If that wasn’t enough to be excited about David, he’s also a kick-ass dancer, loves anything to do with aeroplanes, airports, or airlines, and he can touch the tip of his nose with his tongue.

Why for David?

Having always had a passion for travelling, David wanted to find a company that shared his passion to discover the world, but that also offered something truly new and innovative.

When David met’s original founder Santiago Navarro at a meet-up event in London, the two connected over their interests in Travel and Wine and Spirits. David was instantly hooked on the idea of hotel switching and he knew he wanted to be a part of the story.

Looking Forward

David’s experience working within the travel industry has led to him already start planning future steps for – highlighting the site’s user-experience and breadth and depth of hotel inventory as two areas to start focusing on to improve over the coming months.

With David’s love for travel and commercial expertise, we are very excited for him to come on board and for the great things he and have planned together.
